Ask me 21 Questions!

Thank you Sandra from The Puzzle of Sandra's Life for tagging me in the 11 questions post! It honours me that my darling bloggy friends are interested in the life of a Brisbane fashion fanatic.

For those of you who are unaware of rules in a communal tag- here they are!
- You must post these rules.

- Each person must post 11 things about themselves on their blog.
- Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post and create 11 new questions for the people you tag to answer.
- You have to choose 11 people to tag and link them on the post.
- Go to their page and tell them you have linked him or her.
- No tag backs.
- No stuff in the tagging section about 'you are tagged if you are reading this'. You legitimately have to tag 11 people.

and now...
The Girl behind the Blonde

1. I am drawn to sparkles and sequins and the colour baby pink!
2. My ultimate afternoon snack is lemon greek yoghurt and roasted macadamia nuts.
3. Being a famous actor/singer songwriter was my first career dream.
4. When dressing for my body I always choose a tailored, fitted cut as opposed to loose and baggy. This compliments my short frame.
5. I like Heidi Montag despite the crazy surgical procedures she’s endured!
6. My favoured method of exercising is boxing and zumba.
7. Look out Matt Lee…. I’ve just started tap dancing!
8. The Hills has got me hooked and I’m currently up to Season 4.
9. My greatest highlight was experiencing the magical atmosphere of Disneyland.
10. One of my favourite beauty trends is red lips. A timeless classic!
11.Cosmopolitan magazine remains my favourite magazine. These days it’s my bible and go-to guide for current fashion and beauty trends.

11 Questions from my girlfriend Sandra.

1. Who do you admire/look up to?
Longtime admirer of Sarah Jessica Parker, or more commonly referred to as her onscreen alter ego, Carrie Bradshaw. She is one stylish screen icon who combines sexy with chic, edgy with feminine. Between her hair, fierce and fit figure and her array of amazing high end labeled clothes- she always looks fantastic!

2. What would you do if you won the lottery?
I would trade a life of work for a life of play, gym, tan and laundry (Kidding Jersey Shore!) I would definitely consider investing in a new and more creative career path, ideally fashion styling.

3. Do you have any (secret) talents?
I have trained my feet to no longer feel pain in heels. But I guess that’s not really a talent, just a longstanding heel obsession ;)

4. Do your personality and your zodiac sign description match? My zodiac sign upholds the idea that I am a water child. In the most literal sense I am/used to be a very strong swimmer. I guess a component of my personality is that my personal taste is very fluid and constantly evolving. I particularly notice this within my tastes for fashion trends.

5. Where do you see yourself in 10 years? I see myself as a very experienced blogger and perhaps situated in a fashion dominated career.

6. If you could only shop at one fashion store for the rest of your life, which one would you choose?
Myer, as it stocks multiple high end labels like Stella McCartney, Sass & Bide, Wayne Cooper and Nicola Finetti. It’s my go- to goldmine!

7. What is the most embarassing thing that has happened to you? Recently I spent a night out with the tag left on my new top. Oops!

8. Do you have any weird dreams?
Last night I dreamt that I was having my entire arm tattooed Ed Hardy style….For those of you who know me, you would know this is definitely out of character for me.

9. What is your guilty pleasure?
Retail therapy when I’m blue!

10. Do you like your name or would you prefer having a different one?
I am loving the name Phoebe and not just because it’s a character from my favorite ever TV show!

11. Who is your celebrity crush?
Aside from my eternal crush on Zac Efron I have fantasies about becoming Mrs Mark Ruffalo or maybe Mrs Matthew McConaughey!

11 Questions from me to you!
1. What are you currently carrying in your handbag?
2. Tiffany’s or Pandora?
3. Who inspires your current look this season?
4. If you could live any celebrity’s life for one day…who would you be?
5. Your favourite hair trend/style?
6. What is your old faithful accessory that spruces up any outfit?
7. Louis Vuitton or Chanel?
8. Latest TV addiction?
9. Your ultimate dream job?
10. 5 bloggers who have inspired your work?
11. 5 words that best describe you?

Technicolour at Goma!

Spent an afternoon at GOMA (Gallery of Modern Art, Brisbane) and experienced a new perception of colour. Move over Joseph with your outdated technicolour coat- and enter Yayoi Kusama's The Obliteration Room.  What started as a distinctive stark white room displaying matching white furniture, is now a collaborative artwork in process, contributed by the onlookers who are given polka dot stickers upon entry.

The following image was sourced from the official GOMA blog found here

Impressive in over 5 different colours! And if you thought the artist's quirky trait would be prominent within her other work- you would be correct!

Tanya Schultz and Nicole Andrijevic's exhibition We Miss You Magic Land, was like taking a tour through a Katy Perry Candy Land set. Embellished, sugary and very pink!

Within the same precinct lies the Queensland Art Gallery. What I would give to have a water feature like this in my house!

Lastly, nothing pleases me more then a little coffee pick-me-up!
Right on ;)
Stay tuned for my next post featuring my answers from Sandra's 11 questions post. Be prepared to find out the deets about the girl behind the blonde!

Annie get your Gunmetal on!

On the weekend just been, my darling friend Miranda turned 23 and hosted a Greyscale (grey, silver and black) themed party. Going against the grain, I doned cocktail for edgy, with a studded clutch, silvery tank and for a chic touch a high waisted skirt. I feel like a Sportsgirl poster child as this entire ensemble is from the new season collection.

Top: Sportsgirl, Skirt: Sportsgirl, Clutch: Sportsgirl, Shoes: Wittner

Originally I had planned to wear something rather understated in regards to jewellery. But upon seeing this chunky goodness, I just couldn't resist. Plus, it spices up what already is a minimalist outfit.
Neckpiece: Sportsgirl, Rings: Pandora

Makeup: nothing looks more fierce than red wine lips. Making this the central feature, I have toned down my makeup regime with soft silver hues on the eyes and pencil eyeliner. Hair was very Blake Lively inspired!

Happy Birthday beautiful girl!

Doesn't Miranda look simply stunning?! I am loving her ruffle number, complimented by her layered neckpiece and silky smooth locks. In the words of a true intellectual, Paris Hilton (LOL!),

Caramel the creme de la creme!

Hunting for new season trends has never been so delicious- especially when one of the prevailing colours for this fall seems to be caramel. If your looking for affordable fashion pieces, why not try Portmans; sleek, sophisticated and exquisite quality are a guarantee. I've teamed this cute little skirt/top ensemble with my bold, Wittner platforms and a timeless LV.

Top: Portmans, Skirt: Portmans, Clutch: Louis Vuitton, Accessories: Peep Toe, Shoes: Wittner, Sunglasses: Rayban

These Peep Toe jewels were a late birthday present from my darling bestie Alice. Have you ever seen anything as beautiful as this pink opal stone?

Have you got a caramel sweet tooth crave this season? Leave a note, or repost with a pic and don't hesitate to share your blog URL as I simply love finding new fashion inspiration! Stay tuned for my next outfit post from Miranda's big 23rd Birthday Bash. The theme is Greyscale: grey, black and silver and I have the gunmetal sorted!

Cupid's Choice...

Roses might be red, but nothing seems as sweet as this Marc Jacobs tulle skirt. Polyvore has brought out my creative side as I am all swept up in lovey dovey frosted pink and scarlet hues.
